Different types of pollution exist, including air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, and sound pollution. Urban areas, characterized by high population density and rapid population growth, often experience higher levels of pollution. Factors such as waste products, vehicles, and industrial activities contribute to pollution in cities. Factories produce waste products, harmful gases, and chemicals, while unplanned urbanization and industrialization lead to water pollution, air pollution, and sound pollution. Deforestation, driven by various purposes, also contributes to air pollution.

The adverse effects of pollution affect all living beings. Pollution causes various diseases and has serious consequences such as the greenhouse effect, depletion of the ozone layer, and acid rain. It can also have negative impacts on mental and physical health. Soil fertility decreases, leading to reduced crop production. Water pollution results in the disappearance of aquatic animals and disrupts the natural balance.
