The Institute of Science and Technology (IOST) has announced the opening of applications for the BSc. Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) program for the 2082 academic session. The application will open from July 28, 2025, to August 27, 2025, as per the official notice.
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology (BSc. CSIT) Entrance Exam is conducted annually by Tribhuvan University (TU) for admission into its renowned BSc. CSIT program. This program is designed for students aspiring to build careers in the field of computer science, IT, and software development.

TU BSc. CSIT 2025 Eligibility
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria, to apply for the examination:
Higher Secondary/Secondary Education
- Must have studied Physics and Mathematics (full marks 100 each) in both Grades 11 and 12.
- Minimum Grade C in these subjects and an overall Grade C.
Proficiency Certificate Level (I.Sc.) or Equivalent
- Must have passed Science with Physics and Mathematics (full marks 100 each).
- At least a second division from Tribhuvan University or a recognized institution.
A-Level
- Must have passed with Physics and Mathematics (full marks 100 each).
- At least a Grade D (with or without a small letter).
CTEVT Diploma in Engineering
- Must have passed with Physics and Mathematics (full marks 100 each).
- At least a second division.
Foreign Qualifications
- Must present equivalence certification from the Curriculum Development Centre, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
TU BSc. CSIT Exam Pattern
The entrance exam will consist of objective questions based on the I.Sc./Grade 11 and 12 syllabus or equivalent, covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Computer Knowledge, with a total of 100 marks. The exam will last for 2 hours, and candidates must obtain at least 35% of the total marks to pass.
