TU BIT Entrance Exam 2026: The Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), has announced the entrance examination schedule for admission to the four-year Bachelor in Information Technology (BIT) program for the academic year 2083. Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Application
To be eligible for application, candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:
Completion of Grade 11/12 or Equivalent
- Successfully completed Grade 11 or 12 (or an equivalent examination).
- Must have studied English and either Mathematics or Computer Science as 100-mark subjects.
- Achieved a minimum grade of C in English and at least one of the two subjects.
- Attained a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 1.6 across all subjects, with an overall Final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 1.8.
Proficiency Certificate Level
- Obtained a proficiency certificate level qualification (or equivalent) from Tribhuvan University or another recognized institution.
- Must include English and either Mathematics or Computer Science as 100-mark subjects, with at least second-division marks.
A-Level Examination
- Successfully completed the A-Level examination, including English and either Mathematics or Computer Science as 100-mark subjects.
- A minimum D grade is required in the relevant subjects.
Three-Year Diploma from CTEVT
- Completed a Three-Year Diploma from the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).
- Must have taken English and either Mathematics or Computer Science as 100-mark subjects, achieving at least second-division marks.
Foreign Qualifications
- Candidates with educational qualifications from foreign institutions must submit an equivalency certificate issued by the Curriculum Development Center, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
Application Procedure (Online)
Applicants are required to complete and submit the online application form through the BIT Entrance Examination portal available on the Institute of Science and Technology (IOST) website.
TU BIT Entrance Exam Pattern
The entrance examination carries a total of 100 marks, and candidates must score at least 35% to pass. The questions will be objective (multiple-choice) and will be based on the I.Sc./Grade 11–12 syllabus or its equivalent. There is no negative marking. The questions will be divided as follows:

Additional Information
- There is no negative marking.
