The Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test (KUUMAT) is an entrance exam for students aspiring to enroll in the undergraduate management programs offered by Kathmandu University (KU). These programs include the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Business Information Systems (BBIS), and BBA (Honors /Emphasis).
The KUUMAT is conducted by the Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) to select eligible and meritorious candidates for KU and its affiliated colleges. Admission to these programs is strictly merit-based, with selection based on performance in the KUUMAT, followed by a personal interview.

KUUMAT 2025 Eligibility
To be eligible for the KUUMAT, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Candidates (Nepali or International) must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent level of education from a board or university recognized by Kathmandu University.
- Minimum requirement: 40% aggregate or CGPA 1.6 on a 4.0 scale.
- A Level: Should have passed a minimum of three subjects in A Level and one general paper in AS Level, with the marks/grades requirements as mentioned above.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) students should have passed a minimum 6 courses (at least 3 courses in Higher Level) with 24 points in aggregate.
- CTEVT student should have a three-year diploma with 40% in aggregate.
- CBSE students should have a minimum of 40% in aggregate.
Exam Structure and Syllabus
The KUUMAT consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, divided into various sections designed to assess both verbal and quantitative abilities. The test is aligned with the format of standardized tests like the SAT, particularly focusing on the General SAT and SAT Mathematics.
