Christmas is the greatest festival of the christians. It is celebrated on the 25th of December every year. It is celebrated in the memory of the day on which Lord Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem , near the present day Jerusalem in Israel. All the Christians celebrate this festival with great devotion and loyalty.
Great Preparations are enthusiastically made for this sacred festival. All the houses and churches are cleaned and whitewashed. The walls of the buildings are attractively decorated with various paper flowers, pictures and so on. The shopkeepers who sell christmas presents also decorate their shops beautifully. People prepare different types of electric bulbs to illuminate their private buildings and holy places.
The Christmas Tree is one of the most popular traditions associated with the celebration of Christmas. In order to prepare the Christmas Tree, people cut the big branch of a tree and plant it at a corner of the house.
