Purwanchal Campus

Purwanchal Campus, located in Dharan, Sunsari, is one of the constituent campuses of the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University. Established in 1986 (B.S. 2043), the campus was developed with financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and technical assistance from the Government of the United Kingdom to produce skilled engineering professionals for Nepal's industrial and infrastructure development.

The campus initially offered diploma-level programs in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering before gradually expanding to bachelor's degree programs. Today, it offers undergraduate programs in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Architecture, along with various master's degree programs.
