B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences

B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) was established in 1993 and upgraded to an autonomous Health Sciences University in 1998. It is named after Bisheshwar Prasad Koirala, Nepal's visionary leader in social upliftment and national integration. Located in eastern Nepal, the Institute extends its services through the teaching district concept to Primary Health Care Centers, District Hospitals, and Zonal Hospitals in multiple districts.
